About YIF: Who we Are!
Yoruba Indigenes'Foundation was a collective brainchild of Yoruba sons and daughters all over the world in the year 2005/06 with registration number IT 28744 and it was by collective efforts of late Chief Ambassador Segun Olusola as the Founding Chairman, Comrade Dr. Aderibole Olumide as Founding President, , late Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Okuade Sijuade Olubuse II, late Dr Fredrick Fasheun, Chief Rasheed Abiodun Gbadamosi, late Dr Lateef Adegbite, late General Adeyinka Adebayo rtd, Chief Mrs. Mobolaji Oshomo, Chief Mrs. Winifred Awosika, Chief Mrs. Oseyemi Awosika, Mrs. Olagoroye Oluyemisi Abisola, Mr Dayo Onibile, Pastor Folorunsho Oguntoke, Alhaji Saola Bamidele Jimoh and other prominent Yorubas were co-founders of the esteemed organization.
The Organisation has been privileged to have the individuals as it's patrons out of whom are Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, Wale Babalakin, and a host of others with the Grand Patron was the late Ooni of Ile-Ife. Hence,the New Grand Patrons of the Organisation are the current Oonirisa of Ile-Ife,Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II and Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III.
However, so many prominent Yoruba Individuals have been so supportive in helping the Organisation achieve it's goals out of which are Asiwaju, Chief Michael Adeojo (Elizade Motors), Oba Michael Akinruntan, Oba Adekunle Makama, Olowu Kuta.
The Organisation due to it's sheer hardwork in promoting and enhancing socio-economic growth amongst yoruba people round the world has been granted a special status by the United Nations/Economic and Social Council (UN/ECOSOC) in 2019.
