YIF Vision and Mission

The most effective way I know to begin with the end in mind is to develop a personal mission statement or philosophy or creed. It focused on what you want to be (character) and to do (contributions and achievements) and on the values or principles upon which being and doing are based.
-Stephen Covey-

To achieve this vision, the Foundation aims and objectives are as given below:
(1) Creation of mechanism for non-partisans co-operation among Yorubas at communal, local and international level.
(2) Organization and development of institutional and administrative devices to:

  • (a) Plan and actualize co-operation among Yorubas;
  • (b) Investigate and research into issues, give advice, formulate policies, implement measures that will promote economic progress, social harmony and general well-being of the Yoruba States.

The beauty of cooperative economy or private sector is that we don’t have to win an election, convince the Senate, members of The House of Representatives or pass a bill to do what we think is right for us. We can simply move our race forward, doing what we know is best for us.
